Equipment needed; Pet clipper with a size 10 clipper blade and cat nail clipper.
Start by brushing out your puppy. If the puppy needs a bath give them a bath and dry them. Do not clip a wet puppy.
Paws, begin with the bend and work toward the nails with a 30 or 10 cutting blade. Turn paw over and clean the hairs growing past the pads. This helps reduce water coming in your house on the dogs paws.
Face, use a 10 cutting blade. Start from the inside of the eye and work toward the nose. Trim under the mouth, side of the mouth and work the trim back toward the ear.
Belly/privates, trim belly & privates with a 10 cutting blade, leave the tip of the pee pee so it gives the urine a spot to steam.
Nails, use a cat nail trimmer for puppy nails as they are soft and it’s easier to use a small cutter on puppies. Move the nail trimmer to the end of the nail. You should be able to feel a slight curve at the end. Trim off the very tip. Do this every 1-2 weeks depending on how quickly their nails are growing.
